Pay Now

Just Tell Me

PayNow lets users send Singapore-dollar funds instantly between participating bank or e-wallet accounts using an identifier or supported QR code.

Also called: Pay Now

Explain Like I’m Five

PayNow is a shortcut for moving money between participating accounts in Singapore. Instead of asking for a long bank account number, a sender can use a registered mobile number, NRIC or FIN, business UEN, virtual payment address, or a supported QR code.

How It Works

The recipient first links an accepted identifier to an account. The sender selects PayNow in a banking or payment app, enters or scans the identifier, checks the displayed recipient details and confirms the transfer.

Where You’ll Run Into It

Friends may ask you to “PayNow me” after sharing a meal. Shops may display SGQR codes carrying the PayNow logo for payment.

Example

“I paid first—just PayNow me your share.”

The speaker wants the other person to transfer their share using PayNow.

Watch Out

Always check the recipient details and amount before confirming. PayNow is the transfer service; it is not the same thing as every wallet or banking app that can access it.
