How we explain things.

Each explanation starts with a direct answer, followed by context and an example. Knight Tan edits the site.

Sources and AI cross-review

AI generates explanations from supporting sources. Completed content is public immediately. A different AI model can cross-review factual claims, clarity and Singapore usage as a separate process. Government systems use official sources. Material findings must be resolved and substantive corrections rechecked. No human review is required; AI cross-review does not guarantee accuracy.

An updated date records an edit. A reviewed date records a completed cross-review by a different AI model. Content can be public before cross-review; a review date appears only after that check happens.

Scope

We explain what something is and where you might encounter it. For current rules, eligibility or personal decisions, follow the official sources linked on the page.

Corrections

Found an error or an example that sounds unnatural? Email hi@eli5.sg with the page link, what seems wrong, and a supporting source if you have one.

Meaningful corrections clear stale review metadata and can be cross-reviewed separately. We do not change a review date just because we edited the formatting.
